Confessions & Declarations

The most powerful and effective communication with God is praying the Word…His Word! Prayer that brings results are based on the Word of God.  Personal confessions, declarations, and prayers of praise conditions and prepares you to connect with God.  His responds to His Word and our faith fueled by the energizing power of His Holy Spirit within us.

Based on the Word of God, here are some declarations and personal confessions to make before you began petitioning (asking) the Lord for anything:

  • “According to Ephesians 1:7, by the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed, bought back, out of the hand of the devil.”
  • “By the blood of Jesus, all my sins are completely forgiven right now. They have been remitted according to Ephesians 1:7.”
  • “I am the Body of Christ. I am redeemed from the curse for Jesus bore my sickness and carried my diseases in His own body. By His stripes I am healed. I forbid any sickness or disease to operate in my body. Every organ, every tissue of my body functions in the perfection in which God created it to function.  I honor God and bring glory to Him in my body.”  (Galatians 3:13, Matthew 8:17, I Peter 2:24, 1 Corinthians 6:20)
  • “I let the Word dwell in me richly. He who began a good work in me will continue until the day of Christ.” (Colossians 3:16, Philippians 1:6)
  • “Jesus is Lord over me…over my spirit, my soul, and my body.” (Philippians 2:9-11)
  • “The Lord is my shepherd.  I do not want.  My God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Psalm 23; Philippians 4:19)
  • “I have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings, and purposes of His heart.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)
  • “I am a believer and not a doubter.  I hold fast to my confession of faith.  I walk by faith and not by sight; I practice faith.  My faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Jesus is the author and finisher (developer) of my faith.” (Hebrews 4:14, 11:6, Romans 10:17, Hebrews 12:2)
  • “I do not fret or have anxiety about anything.  I do not have a care.” (Philippians 4:6, 1 Peter 5:6-7)
  • “Jesus has been made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (1 Corinthians 1:30, Philippians 4:13)
  • I do not fear for God has given me a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind.  God is on my side.” (2 Timothy 1:7, Romans 8:31)

NOTE:  As you read and study God’s Word, you will find other Scriptures to confess and declare.
